4. TRICK - Trick or treat with the kids at the Sheriff's Spooktacular Halloween Block Party at the Sevier Courthouse.


5. OR - Head west for an evening of Halloween fun at the Ancient Lore Village in Knoxville


6. TREAT - Don't miss the Trick or Treat Kickoff Karnival at Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies before trick or treating in Gatlinburg


7. SCARE - Haunted houses anyone? Check out the Fright Nights Show at Ripley's Haunted Adventure, Mysterious Mansion of Gatlinburg, or the Hollywood Wax Museum - Pigeon Forge's Outbreak Dread the Undead


8. HIKE - Last month to join a guided tour to Kuwohi (formerly Clingman's Dome), the highest point in the Smoky Mountain National Park

FISH - Douglas Lake is one of the top 5 crappie lakes in the US and fall is a great time for crappie fishing (just don't scare the fish) - UPDATE: Due to cleanup efforts being conducted on Douglas Lake after Hurricane Helene, Tennessee Valley Authority is asking everyone to avoid going on the lake until clean up concludes.
